Something I’ve been thinking about lately: When you don’t love yourself – it is hard to really see and love others. You can only relate to them via their ability to make you feel loved. What ever makes up them – you can only notice to the extent that it relates back to you – and fills that need to be loved in you. But if you change this equation, and learn to love yourself, and fill that need for yourself – you can then relate to others as separate individuals, and accept them as they are, even if they have nothing to give you.
